We have fixed 4150 cats since July of 2001!
WineStyles Benefit
WineStyles very generously donated 50% of the sales from that evening. Jimmy Jet is the little blind kitten that SCA helped. Randi Golub was his caregiver and fell in love with the little guy and adopted him. She volunteered to sponsor a second eye surgery so he is without any sight, but does not seem to know that.

Both times stray Cat has helped me—I am so grateful for you service or my baby Sam may have passed on. I will try to donate some money this summer for all you have done for us.

Dear Friends, Check out our Purrspectives for Winter 2009 to find out the latest news.

Stray Cat Alliance is ending a rather calm year - we have not had any fundraising events or campaigns. However we received a grant from PetsMart at the very end of 2009 plus a matching gift from a donor so we have been able to continue to spay/neuter many cats for low-income caregivers. We have altered approximately 150 cats so far year plus helped with flea medicines, injuries and supplied several colony keepers with cat food. Thanks to Willamette Animal Guild and Greenhill Humane Society we have kept the costs down for altering to the caregivers. That has been really helpful as they (the caregivers) are generally in worse financial straits than they have ever been and have not been able to supplement much to the costs of surgeries.

We continue to accept tax deductibe donations which go 99% to the cats, as our overhead costs are minimal. There is still a great need for low/no cost spay neuter; Greenhill has a free Feral Fix program every Sunday, but here is a long wait list. The lowest price available for spay/neuter in our area is $37 for a male and $47 for a female. There are many, many people who cannot afford that and need a reduced price, often because they are feeding several strays. We will continue to do help these people as long as there are funds donated. You can donate to: SCA, PO Box 26043, Eugene 97402

Our Board of Directors, Diana Huntington, Cathy Bill, Randi Golub, Kim Chapman, Jamie Hermann, and Patsy Hand continues to meet several times a year."

Dear Friends:

As of December 15, 2008, SCA is no longer accepting any calls or requests for assistance with spay/neuter, placing cats, or any other kind of help. We are going inactive for a period of 6-12 months. For those needing assistance with spay/neuter call 607-4219 for information. See our website straycatalliance.com for information on assistance with veterinary care.

Our non-profit status will still be in effect and all donations will continue to be tax deductible. We will continue to assist low-income cat caregivers with spay/neuter through dispersal of funds to Pro-Bone-O (helps the homeless with their pets), Willamette Animal Guild, Greenhill Humane Society and other groups with a similar mission to SCA: helping low-income care providers with their cats.

Thank you all so much for your help through the years, donating and volunteering and attending our events. After this hiatus, we will assess the future of SCA. We will soon send you all our newsletter, Purrspectives, with the latest news and also the accomplishments we have achieved since 2001.
